Acuaryo is developed by Akyno Apps. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, how it is stored, and your choices regarding your data.
By using Acuaryo, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Overview

Acuaryo allows you to manage one or multiple aquariums, including fauna, water parameters, tasks, and notes.

Free and premium features are available.

Some data is securely stored in the cloud (Supabase).

The app uses analytics and ads (for free users).

Some information is collected automatically to improve the app.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When using Acuaryo, you may provide:

• Email address (required to create an account or log in)
• Name (optional)
• Aquarium-related information, such as:
– Aquarium type (freshwater, saltwater, planted)
– Volume, color, installation date
– Notes and custom descriptions
• Fauna entries (fish, plants, invertebrates)
• Water measurements and logs (pH, temperature, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, etc.)
• Tasks, reminders, and maintenance activities
• Any notes or additional content you voluntarily add

This information is stored securely in cloud storage provided by Supabase.

We do not collect:
• Phone number
• Address
• Sensitive personal data

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

We may collect non-identifiable technical and analytics information, including:

• App usage events (screens visited, actions taken)
• Device information (model, OS version, language, timezone, app version)
• Crash reports, errors, and diagnostic data
• Advertising ID or Device ID (for ad delivery and measurement on free accounts)
• Subscription status and transactions (validated by Apple or Google; we do not store payment information)

We do not collect precise geolocation.

3. How We Use Information

We use the collected information to:

• Provide and maintain the Acuaryo experience
• Sync your aquariums, fauna, measurements, and tasks across devices
• Store your history of water parameters and maintenance activities
• Improve performance, stability, and ease of use
• Detect and fix bugs
• Understand how users interact with the app (analytics)
• Display personalized or non-personalized ads (for free users)
• Manage premium subscriptions
• Prevent abuse and ensure account security

4. Data Storage and Cloud Provider (Supabase)

All account data and aquarium-related information saved inside Acuaryo is stored in Supabase, a secure cloud database service.

Supabase acts as our data processor. They store data on our behalf and do not access or use your information except to provide backend services.

Supabase may store or process data in datacenters located in the United States or European Union, depending on their infrastructure.

We chose Supabase because it follows modern security and privacy standards.

5. Third-Party Services

Acuaryo uses trusted third-party services that may process non-identifiable data:

• Supabase (account login, cloud database storage, sync)
• Google Play Services
• Google AdMob (ads for free users)
• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics
• RevenueCat (subscription validation on iOS and Android)
• Expo (framework-related diagnostics)

Each provider has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them.

6. Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share data only with the service providers listed above, strictly for the purpose of operating the app.

Providers may not use your data for their own independent purposes.

We do not share aquarium data, fauna entries, or measurements with advertisers.

7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The app itself does not use cookies.
However, third-party SDKs (analytics and advertising) may use technologies for:

• Frequency capping
• Performance measurement
• Aggregated analytics

These technologies do not directly identify you.

8. Your Choices

8.1 Ads Personalization

You can disable personalized ads in your device settings:

Android:
Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

iOS:
Settings → Privacy & Security → Apple Advertising → turn off Personalized Ads

You may also reset your Advertising ID at any time.

8.2 Account Deletion

You may request account deletion directly inside the app.

This permanently deletes:
• Your account
• All aquariums
• Fauna
• Water parameter measurements
• Tasks and reminders
• Notes and custom entries

Some analytics or diagnostic data may remain with third-party providers according to their own retention policies.

9. Data Retention

Cloud data stored in Supabase remains until you delete your account.

Local app data stays on your device until you uninstall the app or clear its storage.

Analytics and crash reports follow their respective third-party retention periods.

10. Security

We use commercially reasonable security measures, including encrypted database connections and restricted access controls.

However, no system is completely secure.

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.

11. Children's Privacy

Acuaryo is not intended for use by children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that such data was collected, we will delete it promptly.

12. Links to Other Sites

The app may contain links to third-party websites.
We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
All changes will be posted on our official website: acuaryo.com (or another link you specify).

The effective date at the top will always reflect the latest version.

Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
